StarGuard’s Lifeguard Renewal Blended Learning course requires participants to complete an online component and (2) day in-person course, both with classroom and water training.
This course is designed for individuals currently certified as a StarGuard Lifeguard who are wishing to renew their certification. The focus during training is on competency assessment, methods, and approaches that are specific to StarGuard, and facility-specific response methods.
Our courses are designed and taught by industry-leading professionals who are motivated and passionate to help prepare you for a variety of scenarios you may be faced with in, on, and around the water.
*If you are looking to crossover to StarGuard, you must be employed by Premier Aquatics and must have a current American Red Cross, YMCA, Ellis&Associates, or National Aquatic Safety Co. Certification.
**If you are a current employee of Premier Aquatics, have a current StarGuard Certification, and have attended at least 3 months of inservice prior to the course, you may complete a Renewal challenge which is (1) day in length, in person and online.
Swim Prerequisite:
A Hip Pack, Whistle, & Seal Rite or BigEasy CPR Mask are required to attend the course.
If you do not have these items, they can be purchased during registration:
$30.00 – Seal Rite or BigEasy CPR Mask, Hip Pack, and Whistle
$20.00 – Seal Rite or BigEasy CPR Mask
Transportation may be required between pool and classroom locations. If you are unable to drive yourself, your instructor will help coordinate transportation. Your instructor will be able to give you time frames for when transportation is required based on the pacing of the class.
Certification(s) will be awarded on the last day of class and are contingent upon the candidate’s successful completion of the written and practical exam. Valid for 1 year. Recertification is offered annually.
