StarGuard’s Lifeguard Blended Learning course requires participants to complete an online component and (2) day in-person course, both with classroom and water training.
This Lifeguard Certification Course provides entry-level lifeguard participants (or Lifeguards with previous certification through American Red Cross, YMCA, or Ellis and Associates) with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.
Our courses are designed and taught by industry-leading professionals who are motivated and passionate to help prepare you for a variety of scenarios you may be faced with in, on, and around the water.
Swim Prerequisite:
A Hip Pack, Whistle, & Seal Rite or BigEasy CPR Mask are required to attend the course.
If you do not have these items, they can be purchased during registration:
Bundle (Seal Rite or Big Easy Mask, Hip Pack, whistle) – $30.00
Seal Rite or Big Easy Mask only – $20.00
Transportation may be required between pool and classroom locations. If you are unable to drive yourself, your instructor will help coordinate transportation. Your instructor will be able to give you time frames for when transportation is required based on the pacing of the class.
Certification(s) will be awarded on the last day of class and are contingent upon the candidate’s successful completion of the written and practical exam. Valid for 1 year. Recertification is offered annually.
