• Lifeguard Certification Prerequisites: 
  • 15 years or older to participate
  • Participants need a personal email address for online training
  • Online training must be completed before the start of training
  • Classroom & pool setting – dress accordingly

  Swim Prerequisite:

  • Swim 50 yards/meters without stopping
  • Swim 50 yards/meters with a rescue tube across the chest
  • Tread water for 1 minute without the use of hands
  • Retrieve 10-pound object from the bottom of the pool

Register for a Class Near You:

A Hip Pack, Whistle, & Seal Rite or BigEasy CPR Mask are required to attend the course.

If you do not have these items, they can be purchased during registration:

Bundle (Seal Rite or Big Easy Mask, Hip Pack, whistle) – $30.00

Seal Rite or Big Easy Mask only – $20.00

Transportation may be required between pool and classroom locations. If you are unable to drive yourself, your instructor will help coordinate transportation. Your instructor will be able to give you time frames for when transportation is required based on the pacing of the class.

Certification(s) will be awarded on the last day of class and are contingent upon the candidate’s successful completion of the written and practical exam. Valid for 1 year. Recertification is offered annually.
